This replaced a Shockwave Blade on a Mk 18-based AR pistol I'm building--it's a lot heftier than the Blade, which is a good thing if you like your AR's balanced with a little more weight in the rear. Also, the center tunnel is a convenient place to stick a spare magazine, whether you use SB's add-on magazine pouch or not. And since it looks at a quick glance a lot like an M4 stock, it lets you avoid NFA hassle while letting an M4 or Mk 18 look like it should. Planning on buying more of these for future builds!
